Pet Tools & Care
Choose for the individual pet
Read the description, dimensions, materials, intended use, fit information and supplied components for the particular product. Products can differ in adjustment range, cleaning method and suitability. Do not assume that an item is appropriate solely because it appears with a similar animal in a photograph.
Use the actual product's instructions and ask us about missing details before ordering. This guide does not create a universal size chart, veterinary certification or guarantee that an item suits every pet.
Measurements and fit
Measure your pet using the method stated for the particular item. Where relevant, compare neck, chest, body length or other measurements with that item's actual sizing information. Breed, age and a previous purchase from another brand do not replace these measurements.
For adjustable items, confirm that the stated adjustment range is suitable. Check fastenings without causing discomfort and recheck fit as your pet grows or its condition changes. Follow the maker's fit instructions rather than applying one rule to every product.
Introduce a new item carefully
Allow your pet to become familiar with a new product gradually and supervise initial use. Check how the item operates before relying on it during an activity. Follow any product-specific fastening, installation or supervision directions.
Watch how your pet responds. Stop use if the item causes discomfort, loses parts, becomes damaged or appears unsuitable for the animal or activity. Do not modify a product in a way that conflicts with its instructions.
Inspect before and during use
Where relevant, check seams, clips, buckles, attachments, moving parts and surfaces. Wear can change an item's performance. Do not continue using a damaged product or assume that every item is chew-proof or intended for unsupervised use.
Keep loose packaging and detachable parts away from animals and children. Store items as directed and prevent access to components not intended for the pet to handle. A product description for one item does not establish the properties of other items in the store.
Cleaning and care
Use the care method specified for the actual material and product. Do not assume every textile is machine washable, every surface tolerates disinfectant, or every accessory can be soaked, heated or placed in a dishwasher.
Dry and store items as directed. If a product has electrical or battery-powered parts, follow its own power, cleaning and water-exposure instructions. This conditional guidance does not mean that every item in the store has such components.
Product information and health
General descriptions and this guide do not create a treatment claim, medical benefit or veterinary endorsement. Product-specific instructions and appropriate professional advice take priority where a health or safety concern is involved. We do not guarantee a particular animal behavior or health outcome.
Returns and help
Inspect fit and condition before use that could chew, soil or otherwise alter an item you may wish to return. Contact us if it arrives damaged, appears faulty or does not match its description. Commercial return conditions do not remove applicable statutory remedies.
